Travel and Flights
You can find direct flights from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), John Wayne/OC Airport (SNA), San Diego, (SAN) and San Francisco (SFO) to Mammoth Mountain Airport (MMH), with shuttles from the airport to Mammoth Mountain Inn Daily.
Mammoth Mountain is a 5-6 hour drive from Los Angeles/Orange County areas, a 3 hour drive from the airport in Reno, NV, and a 4 1/2 hour drive from the Sacramento area.
* Daily flights depart LAX at 2:20pm and arrive at MMH at 3:25pm.
* Return flights depart Mammoth at 4:05pm and arrive at LAX at 5:10pm.
To get to Mammoth Mountain Inn from Highway 203, continue straight on 203/Main St. then turn right at the second stop light- Minaret Rd. You will pass the village on the left. Continue along Minaret toward Main Lodge for about 4 miles until you reach the Main Lodge parking area. Turn right at the Mammoth Mountain Inn sign near the Yodeler Restaurant.
From Southern California
You'll pass Death Valley, Mount Whitney, and the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forrest. Take 1-5 North to US 395 North to State Route 203 (300-375 miles).
From San Francisco
Take interstate 80 to Highway 50 to Kingsbury Grade cutoff to US 395 South to State Route 203 (320 Miles).
From Nevada/Lake Tahoe
Drive through miles of scenic back county, Bodie State Historical Park, and Mono Lake. Take US 395 South to State Route 203 (165 miles).
From Las Vegas
Tour the deserts interesting rock formations and old gold mining towns. One of several options is US 95 North to Highway 266 West; turn slight left to State Route 168 to US 395 North to State Route 203 (310 Miles).
